Heartwork

Definition of Heartwork

When you were born into this world, the Creator took light and breathed life into you, that light and breath of life is your heartwork. You were born with purpose and a work that only are you charged with in this life. This heartwork comes from your heart/spirit and it is the work you spend your lifetime practicing.

Heartwork is your purpose combined with passion; it is taking whatever your heart has been charged with and committing to do the work necessary to honor your spirit.

Doing the work of your heart is a continual mending of soul wounds; heartwork is an act of re-membering; it is a ceremony that allows us to learn from woundings to re-member, put ourselves back together, and transform beyond the spiritual scars that try to keep us bound in darkness. Heartwork brings us back to that original breath of life and light of spirit.

Practicing heartwork is to honor your purpose through empathy, compassion, respect, reciprocity, and love. Practicing heartwork is not always easy, it can be hard work, but it is always worth it.

Heartwork is a commitment to healing yourself, your family, your loved ones, your community, and your ancestors.
